Malignant Hypertension

Diagnosis at a glance:

The fundus photograph shows
  1. disk edema,
  2. cottonwool spots,
  3. a swollen optic nerve, and
  4. retinal hemorrhages.
Together, these findings suggest a diagnosis of malignant hypertension.
